Openscatter - Free And Open-Source Scattering
Disclaimer: OpenScatter is and will always be completely free on the github repository, but purchasing on Gumroad or Blendermarket is what's keeping this project alive!
Intuitive Workflow
OpenScatter is created to be as user friendly as possible while providing control to the artist. OpenScatter uses a dynamic system that allows you to create different scatter layers for each object. Made with a non-destructive workflow in mind, anything can be changed at any point during the process.
Optimized
- Smart Camera Culling - Make sure that nothing outside of view will be processed.
- Auto Low-Poly Mesh Generation - Switch to automatically generated low-poly meshes.
- Separate Render Controls - Make sure everything runs smoothly when you're working, while keeping the render quality high.
Advanced Controls
OpenScatter comes with a suite of advanced tools to give you as much freedom and control as possible. You can do anything from using procedural texture masks to simulating how an ecosystem behaves and is effected by abionic components.
Dynamic Animation
- Wind Animation - Instantly make your scatter systems behave naturally as if they were blowing in the wind.
- Object Collisions - Create dynamic animations where objects interact with your scatter systems.
Freedom First Philosophy
This addon is free and open source under the GNU GPLv3. Use, modify, and distribute it freely—provided derivatives remain GPLv3. Built by artists, for artists.
